Hyderabad Water Cut Alert: Several Areas to Face 24-Hour Supply Disruption from August 29

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has announced a 24-hour disruption in drinking water supply across several parts of the city due to pipeline junction works at Bandlaguda X Road. The water supply will be suspended from 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 29, and is expected to be restored by 10:00 AM on Sunday, August 30. Officials said the maintenance work is necessary to strengthen the city’s water distribution network and ensure better service in the future.

The disruption will affect several localities, including Shastripuram, Bandlaguda, Shamshabad, Madhuban, Durga Nagar, Suleman Nagar, PDP, Golden Heights, Attapur, Kismatpur, 9 Number, Allabanda, Bhojagutta, Gandhanguda, Prasanna Nagar, Jubilee Hills, Tattikhana, Gachibowli, and Madhapur. Residents living in these areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements in advance by storing sufficient drinking water and using available supplies carefully during the shutdown period.

HMWSSB has assured citizens that normal water supply will resume from 10:00 AM on August 30, once the pipeline work is completed. The department has appealed to the public to cooperate during the maintenance activity and avoid unnecessary wastage of water. Authorities believe the temporary inconvenience will help improve the efficiency and reliability of Hyderabad’s drinking water supply system in the long run.
