Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a jilted lover attacked and killed a woman in Gachibowli on Wednesday night. The assailant, identified as Rakesh, was reportedly in a relationship with the victim, a beautician originally from West Bengal. After a fallout, Rakesh visited her home under the pretense of resolving their issues. However, the meeting took a violent turn when he attacked her.

Local residents who heard the commotion tried to intervene and rescue the woman, but Rakesh turned on them as well, injuring three people in the process. Following the attack, Rakesh fled the scene and made his way to Moinabad, where he attempted to take his own life by climbing an electric pole and grabbing live power cables. He suffered severe electrocution and was rushed to the hospital by the police.

The incident has left the community in shock and raised concerns about domestic violence and the safety of women. Authorities are investigating the case, and further details are awaited.
