A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Hyderabad has been suspended for allegedly aiding kidnappers in the abduction of a realtor from Mokila village in 2023. The Director General of Police took action after an internal investigation revealed that the officer, who was working in the cybercrime unit, misused official resources to provide confidential information about the victim’s location. This data was reportedly obtained through Telangana police apps and was later used by the kidnappers to track and abduct Srinivas Raju from Nagulapally village in Mokila. The realtor was then coerced into transferring 30 acres of land at a local registration office before being released.

Following the incident, Srinivas Raju approached the police and filed a formal complaint, leading to a thorough probe into the matter. During the investigation, it was discovered that the accused DSP had direct links with the criminals involved and had actively facilitated the crime by leaking sensitive information. Based on this evidence, the DSP was cited as an accused in the case, and the authorities moved forward with his suspension. The police department has emphasized that strict action will be taken against any official found misusing their position for personal or criminal gains, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining law and order.
