Haryanvi Singer Ankit Baliyan Gunned Down Outside Gym in Uttar Pradesh

Popular Haryanvi singer and YouTuber Ankit Baliyan was shot dead by unidentified assailants outside a gym in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district on Wednesday evening. According to police, the 35-year-old artist was leaving the gym at around 7 pm when four attackers opened fire, firing nearly 20 rounds at him. Baliyan sustained multiple bullet injuries, including a fatal gunshot wound to the head, and died on the spot before he could receive medical assistance. The attackers fled immediately after the incident, and police have launched an intensive investigation to trace those involved.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the Gogi gang has claimed responsibility for the killing, alleging that Baliyan had links with rival groups and had released a song related to one of the gang’s incidents. Authorities are verifying the authenticity of the claim while examining CCTV footage, eyewitness accounts, and other evidence to establish the exact motive behind the murder. Senior police officials have stated that multiple teams have been formed to identify and arrest the accused, and no possibility has been ruled out at this stage.

Ankit Baliyan was widely known in the Haryanvi music industry for his songs and strong social media presence. One of his most popular tracks, “Bhari Court Mein Goli Maarenge Meri Jaan,” gained millions of views and made him a well-known face among Haryanvi music fans. His killing has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and among his followers, raising fresh concerns over the growing influence of criminal gangs and gun violence targeting public figures in the region. Police have assured that strict action will be taken against those responsible after the investigation is completed.
