In a shocking incident in Bengaluru’s Vinayaknagar area, a 30-year-old man, Sheikh Nasru from Bihar, was arrested for allegedly severing the udders of two cows and injuring a third. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, leaving the milk vendor-owner horrified when he discovered his bleeding cows while preparing for his daily routine. Bengaluru police revealed that the accused, who worked as a helper at a nearby bag stitching shop, was intoxicated during the act. Officials confirmed that the injured cows received medical attention and are currently out of danger.

The act has triggered a political uproar, with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders staging protests and demanding strict action. BJP Leader of Opposition R. Ashok visited the site and called for stringent measures against what he termed “jihadis” responsible for such heinous crimes. He further warned of observing a “black Sankranti” if the state government failed to act decisively. BJP leaders criticized the ruling government for perceived inaction and accused it of negligence in maintaining communal harmony and public safety.
