DK Shivakumar to Take Oath as Karnataka Chief Minister on June 3 in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Karnataka Congress President D.K. Shivakumar is set to be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Karnataka on June 3 at the Glass House in Lok Bhavan, Bengaluru. The announcement was made by Congress state Working President and Rajya Sabha MP G.C. Chandrashekhar during a press conference on Saturday. He stated that there was initial confusion regarding the venue of the swearing-in ceremony, but after discussions, the party finalized the Glass House as the location for the event. The exact timing of the oath-taking ceremony will be announced later. Shivakumar is widely expected to be formally elected as the leader of the Congress Legislature Party before assuming office.

Chandrashekhar said the Congress leadership has decided to keep the swearing-in ceremony simple and focused on public service rather than making it a large political spectacle. Earlier, discussions were held about arranging thousands of buses from various districts to transport party workers and supporters to Bengaluru. However, the proposal was dropped due to concerns over fuel shortages, traffic congestion, and inconvenience to the general public. The party has appealed to its workers and supporters to cooperate with the administration and avoid overcrowding the venue so that normal city life is not disrupted during the event.

Meanwhile, astrologer Dwarakanath Guruji has predicted a long and successful tenure for D.K. Shivakumar as Chief Minister. According to him, Shivakumar’s horoscope indicates strong political prospects and continued support from the Congress high command. The astrologer suggested several auspicious dates for assuming office and expressed confidence that Shivakumar would remain a key political figure in Karnataka for years to come. He further predicted that Shivakumar could return to power even after the 2028 Assembly elections, adding that his leadership and vision could contribute significantly to the state’s development and prosperity.
