Terrorist Attack on Assam Security Camp Injures 3 Army Personnel

Tinsukia (Assam): Three Army personnel sustained minor injuries in a terrorist attack on the Kakopathar security camp in Assam’s Tinsukia district early Friday, officials said. Unidentified terrorists reportedly fired at the camp from a moving vehicle around 12:30 a.m. before fleeing the scene. The attack involved automatic weapons, but no major casualties were reported.

A defence spokesperson confirmed that the injured personnel suffered only minor abrasions and that the area had been secured. “Troops on duty retaliated immediately while taking care to avoid damage to nearby civilian houses,” the spokesperson added. Joint searches are ongoing in coordination with local police to track down the attackers.

The Kakopathar camp is situated near Assam’s border with Arunachal Pradesh. Authorities have launched a thorough search operation in the area to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure the security of the region.
