Two Trucks Engulfed in Flames After Collision on Hyderabad–Bengaluru Highway

In a devastating road accident early Friday morning, two trucks were completely gutted after a head-on collision on National Highway 44 near Narayanpuram village in Alampur, Gadwal district. The accident occurred in the Manavapadu mandal region along the Hyderabad–Bengaluru highway, a stretch known for heavy commercial traffic. The vehicles involved included a truck carrying a load of potatoes en route to Bengaluru and another transporting large stone slabs. The collision triggered a swift and intense blaze, reducing both trucks to charred wreckage.

According to local police, the impact of the collision was severe enough to spark an immediate fire. The flames quickly spread through both vehicles, fueled by the flammable cargo and vehicle materials. The truck carrying potatoes was traveling at high speed, and the other truck, loaded with stone slabs, reportedly lost control, leading to the collision. Miraculously, the truck driver Rajasekhar and the cleaner Ramakrishna survived the inferno with only minor injuries. They were swiftly transported to the Government Hospital in Kurnool for treatment.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause and whether there was any mechanical failure or human error involved. Fire tenders rushed to the scene to douse the blaze, but by the time they arrived, the fire had already consumed both vehicles entirely. The accident once again raises concerns over the safety conditions on national highways, especially for heavy transport vehicles operating during early morning hours.
