Tragic Road Accident in Vanasthalipuram Claims Two Lives, Investigation Underway

Hyderabad witnessed a fatal accident in Vanasthalipuram on Wednesday, February 26, when an unidentified vehicle rammed into an autorickshaw, leading to the deaths of two passengers. The victims, identified as Syed Ismail (48) from Musheerabad and Syed Ghouse (40) from Hafeezpet, were returning from the wholesale fruit market in Hayathnagar along with two others, Sayeed and Suleman. As they reached Sushma Theater Road, a speeding vehicle struck their auto from behind, throwing Ismail and Ghouse onto the road with severe injuries. Passersby rushed them to Osmania General Hospital, but both succumbed to their injuries during treatment.

Vanasthalipuram police have registered a case of death due to negligence under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and an investigation is currently underway to trace the vehicle responsible for the crash. Inspector Srinivas Rao confirmed that authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the culprit. The tragic accident has once again raised concerns about reckless driving and road safety measures in Hyderabad, as incidents of hit-and-run continue to be a major issue in the city.

The sudden demise of Ismail and Ghouse has left their families in deep shock, with local residents demanding stricter enforcement of traffic laws to prevent such tragedies. Friends and relatives gathered at their residences to pay their respects, mourning the loss of two hardworking individuals who had simply set out to earn a living. The incident has reignited discussions on the need for better road infrastructure and stricter penalties for negligent driving, as Hyderabad grapples with increasing road accident cases.
