Telangana Government Officer Arrested for Demanding Bribe

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a government officer from Rajanna-Sircilla district for demanding a bribe of Rs 80,000. Mandal surveyor Malloji Nagaraju from Yellareddypet Mandal was caught red-handed while accepting Rs 15,000 as part of the bribe amount. The officer had demanded the bribe for issuing a survey report (Panchanama) of a land situated in Venkatraopet village.

The complainant had already paid Rs 22,000 to the officer to conduct the survey, but the officer demanded an additional bribe. The ACB has booked Nagaraju and will produce him before a special ACB court in Karimnagar. The incident highlights the efforts of the ACB to curb corruption in the state.

The Telangana ACB has advised citizens to report cases of corruption by contacting their toll-free number 1064 or through WhatsApp, Facebook, or their website. The public can reach out to the ACB through various channels to report bribery and corruption cases.
