In a major political development in Telangana, controversial BJP MLA T Raja Singh has formally resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party, expressing deep dissatisfaction with the party’s state leadership decisions. His resignation comes amid reports that BJP is set to appoint Ramchander Rao as the new Telangana BJP president—an announcement that Singh claims has alienated thousands of dedicated karyakartas. Addressing his resignation letter to Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy, Singh labeled the move as a “betrayal” of grassroots workers who remained loyal to the party through years of struggle and ideological commitment.
T Raja Singh, who represents the Goshamahal constituency and is widely known for his hardline Hindutva stance, made it clear that his resignation from the party does not mean a departure from his ideological beliefs. Declaring his continued loyalty to the Hindu community and his constituents, Singh said he would remain active in public service, fighting for what he believes is in the best interest of his people. He also made a public appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior BJP leaders to rethink the state leadership structure and address growing discontent within party ranks.
This political rift is not the first time Singh has found himself at odds with the BJP. His social media presence has previously triggered controversy, with platforms like Facebook and Instagram removing his accounts for alleged hate speech. Despite this, he has maintained a strong local support base and has often positioned himself as a voice for “true Hindutva.” His resignation is being seen as both a personal protest and a broader warning sign for the BJP in Telangana, where internal disunity could hamper its ambitions ahead of crucial electoral battles.
