Sketches Released of Three Pakistani Terror Suspects in Deadly Pahalgam Attack

In a major breakthrough, security agencies on Wednesday released sketches of three suspected Pakistani terrorists believed to be behind the brutal attack near Pahalgam, south Kashmir, that claimed the lives of 26 people—most of them tourists. The suspects have been identified as Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha. They reportedly operated under code names Moosa, Yunus, and Asif respectively, and have a history of involvement in previous terror activities in the Poonch region. The sketches, which depict young bearded men, were developed based on eyewitness accounts from survivors of the attack.

Officials confirmed that all three men are affiliated with The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy group linked to the banned Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. The TRF claimed responsibility for the attack that took place on Tuesday afternoon, marking yet another escalation in cross-border terrorism. This incident has triggered heightened security operations across Kashmir, especially in tourist hubs like Pahalgam, which saw one of the deadliest civilian-targeted attacks in recent times.

As investigations continue, local law enforcement and counter-terrorism units are working in coordination to track down the perpetrators. The release of these sketches is part of a broader manhunt aimed at disrupting the network of foreign militants operating in the region. Authorities are urging citizens to remain vigilant and report any information that could lead to the suspects’ arrest. The attack has sparked outrage across the country, drawing condemnation from political leaders and citizens alike, with renewed calls for stringent counter-terror measures.
