SIA Conducts Anti-Terror Raids in Multiple Areas of Kashmir Valley

In a significant escalation of its counter-terrorism efforts, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir Police carried out a series of raids across multiple districts in the Kashmir Valley on Saturday. The coordinated operations were aimed at dismantling networks suspected of aiding or abetting terrorist activities. According to officials, the raids targeted specific locations in Sopore, Baramulla, Handwara, Ganderbal, and Srinagar, based on actionable intelligence inputs gathered over recent weeks.

The SIA, which has been at the forefront of investigating terror-related cases in Jammu and Kashmir, launched these searches as part of an ongoing crackdown following recent incidents of militant violence and growing concerns over the reactivation of sleeper cells. Officials said digital devices, documents, and other materials relevant to terror investigations were seized during the raids. Authorities are now analyzing the collected evidence to trace further links and individuals connected to extremist networks operating in the valley.

These operations come at a time when security forces have intensified their surveillance and intelligence-gathering capabilities in response to the evolving threat landscape in Jammu and Kashmir. The SIA’s actions reflect the government’s resolve to uproot terror infrastructure and prevent radicalization at the grassroots level. Officials assured that all raids were conducted lawfully, with due procedures followed to ensure civilian safety and minimal disruption to public life in the affected areas.
