Schoolboy Dies After Injection at Telangana Hospital, Family Alleges Negligence

In a heartbreaking incident in Telangana’s Mahbubabad district, a school student named Siddarth lost his life after receiving an injection at a private hospital. The boy, who had been suffering from fever and cold, was taken to Balaji Nursing Home (Saraswati Hospital) for treatment. His mother, Nagarani, alleged that the injection administered to him was an overdose, leading to his sudden deterioration and death. Grief-stricken and enraged, the boy’s family staged a protest outside the hospital, accusing the doctors of negligence. The incident sparked public outrage, prompting authorities to step in and restore order.

The hospital management, however, refuted the allegations, stating that Siddarth had a congenital heart disorder and had been receiving ongoing treatment at their facility. According to the hospital, the injection given to him was a standard dose appropriate for his medical condition. They further clarified that he had pre-existing breathing difficulties due to his heart ailment and that all treatment was carried out following established medical protocols. Despite these clarifications, the tragic death of the schoolboy has raised concerns about medical accountability and the quality of healthcare services in the region.

Following the incident, local authorities launched an investigation to determine whether the hospital was at fault or if the boy’s pre-existing condition played a role in his death. The case has intensified discussions on medical negligence and patient safety, especially in small-town hospitals. With growing public demand for stricter medical oversight, officials are now under pressure to ensure a thorough and impartial probe. Meanwhile, the grieving family continues to seek justice, hoping for accountability in what they believe was an avoidable tragedy.
