Rise in Minimum Temperatures and Fog Conditions Expected in Northwest India Over the Next Few Days

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert predicting dense fog over several parts of Northwest India in the coming days. According to the IMD, areas such as Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh will experience reduced visibility during the night and early morning hours. The fog is expected to persist for the next two days, particularly affecting Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Odisha, and the Northeast. Along with this, temperatures in these regions are anticipated to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the coming three days, providing some relief to residents battling the chilly winter mornings.

Meanwhile, heavy rainfall is predicted over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal this weekend, with thunderstorms expected in Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. This shift in weather conditions could affect daily routines and travel plans, especially in the regions experiencing intense rainfall and fog. Meteorological authorities have advised caution while traveling and urged residents to prepare for fluctuating weather conditions.

The IMD continues to monitor these developments closely, with a focus on ensuring public safety amid these challenging weather patterns. The ongoing weather alerts are expected to keep the public informed about any changes that may arise over the next few days.
