Revanth Reddy Unveils Vision for Telangana as $1 Trillion Economy on Formation Day

On the occasion of Telangana Formation Day, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy laid out an ambitious vision to transform the state into a $1 trillion economy, calling on professionals across all sectors to contribute to this goal. Addressing a gathering on June 2, he emphasized the Congress government’s commitment to holistic development by securing investments worth ₹3 lakh crore from international partners over the past 18 months. He highlighted flagship initiatives such as the AI City, Pharma City, and transformative projects around the Musi River and Bapu Ghat, aimed at positioning Telangana as a global investment hub.

Revanth Reddy also outlined major strides in education, employment, and welfare. The government has filled over 60,000 jobs in just 16 months and successfully conducted the DSC exam to appoint 10,000 teachers. Initiatives like Young India Skills University, Sports University, and Young India Integrated Residential Schools for SC, ST, and OBC students aim to empower the youth. The Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme and a ₹1 lakh aid for Civil Services aspirants were also mentioned as measures to boost career opportunities. Furthermore, the construction of a new Osmania General Hospital was announced to enhance public healthcare.

In the field of social welfare and infrastructure, the CM lauded schemes such as free bus services for women, a ₹2 lakh farm loan waiver benefiting 25 lakh farmers, and the Indira Mahila Shakti policy for women’s entrepreneurship. He also spoke of the Bhu Bharati initiative to resolve land disputes, and praised the Telangana police for their effective crackdown on drug trafficking. Highlighting the state’s success in tourism, he credited the Miss World 2025 event for bringing global attention to Telangana. Revanth concluded by reaffirming his government’s dedication to inclusive growth, urban development, and youth empowerment.
