Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, is set to embark on a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday to participate in the World Governments Summit (WGS) in Dubai. The invitation for this visit came from the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The summit will bring together global policymakers, heads of state, and business leaders to discuss governance, innovation, and international collaboration. Accompanying the Prime Minister will be a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with the UAE and other global partners.
During his visit, Shehbaz Sharif will deliver a keynote address highlighting Pakistan’s vision for economic growth, digital transformation, and governance reforms. He is expected to engage in bilateral meetings with UAE leadership and leaders from other participating countries. Additionally, he will meet with top executives of major multinational companies, exploring opportunities for economic collaboration and investment in Pakistan. The UAE remains one of Pakistan’s most significant economic and strategic partners, with strong trade and investment relations across multiple sectors.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari has left for Portugal to offer condolences to Prince Rahim al-Hussaini Aga Khan V on the passing of Prince Karim al-Hussaini Aga Khan IV. During his visit, President Zardari is also scheduled to meet Portugal’s President, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, further strengthening diplomatic relations between the two nations.
