A potentially fatal accident was narrowly avoided late Wednesday night in Hyderabad, when a moving car caught fire on the PVNR Expressway near pillar number 311. The vehicle was en route from the city toward Rajiv Gandhi International Airport when the driver noticed smoke emerging from the engine. Within seconds, the smoke intensified, and flames erupted from the front of the car. Reacting swiftly, the driver managed to steer the vehicle to the roadside and exit just in time before the fire engulfed the vehicle entirely.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported seeing the car pull over abruptly, with flames quickly consuming the engine compartment. The driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, remained unharmed and raised an alert. Responding promptly, a fire tender from the Rajendranagar fire station arrived and brought the blaze under control.
