In a dramatic late-night rescue, Hyderabad firefighters saved two young boys who were accidentally locked inside a room at their residence near Nure Alai Masjid in Chandrayangutta. The incident occurred around 3:00 am when 7-year-old Abdul Rahman and his younger brother, 3-year-old Mohammed Azam, found themselves trapped with no way to get out. Their parents, Mohammed Javed and his wife, initially tried to unlock the door with the help of neighbors but were unsuccessful, prompting them to call the fire department in a state of panic.
The emergency call was swiftly responded to by the Chandrayangutta Fire Station. A team led by leading fireman Shabbir, along with firemen Narasimha and Devender Sagar and Driver/Operator Mastaan, arrived within minutes. Equipped with specialized tools, they carefully worked to open the locked door without causing any injury to the children. Neighbors gathered outside anxiously as the operation unfolded, and described hearing the frightened cries of the boys from inside the room.
The firefighters’ calm and professional approach helped bring the situation under control quickly. Within a short time, they managed to free the children, who were then safely reunited with their relieved parents. The incident highlighted the critical role emergency services play in everyday urban life and earned the fire department praise from the local community. No injuries were reported, and the children are said to be doing well.
