A shocking incident occurred on Sunday, July 27, when a man collapsed and died while playing a badminton match at the Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad. The victim, identified as Gundla Rakesh, was reportedly getting ready to serve when he suddenly fell to the ground. Bystanders and fellow players rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead. The tragic moment was captured in a viral video shared on social media, showing the exact second Rakesh collapsed on the court.

Rakesh was the son of Gundla Venkateswarlu, a former deputy sarpanch of Tallada village in Khammam district. He was employed at a private firm in Hyderabad and was known to be active in sports. Friends described him as physically fit and passionate about badminton, making the sudden nature of his death all the more alarming. Despite attempts to get more details from law enforcement, Uppal police did not respond to calls from Siasat.com. The incident has once again raised concerns over the increasing number of young individuals suffering fatal heart attacks during physical activities. Health experts urge people, especially those above 30, to undergo regular cardiac checkups before engaging in intense sports or gym workouts.
