KTR Demands PM Modi to Order High-Level Probe into Kancha Gachibowli Land Scam

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) has made a strong appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take immediate action on the Kancha Gachibowli land controversy. Raising concerns over alleged financial fraud and environmental violations tied to the 400-acre land, KTR insisted that the Prime Minister must now prove his commitment to environmental conservation and transparency. He highlighted that the Supreme Court-appointed Central Empowered Committee (CEC) has already recommended an independent investigation into the matter, calling for a high-level probe monitored by central agencies like the CBI, CVC, SEBI, SFIO, or even a sitting judge.

Through a post on X (formerly Twitter), KTR accused the Congress-led Telangana government and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of orchestrating the scam and misguiding the public. He slammed Reddy’s claim that no wildlife exists in the Kancha Gachibowli area, pointing out that a Telangana High Court Registrar’s report had confirmed the presence of significant fauna. KTR also denounced the alleged mortgaging of a water body within the controversial land parcel, calling it a reckless move that showcases the current government’s disregard for environmental and public welfare.

Emphasizing the need for accountability, KTR warned that failure by PM Modi to act on this issue would reflect poorly on his leadership and integrity. “The Prime Minister has been vocal about transparency and corruption in Telangana during Congress rule. Now is the time to act decisively,” said KTR. He further demanded that those misusing power and public resources—including Revanth Reddy—should be exposed and held responsible. This development has sparked a political storm, placing pressure on both the state and central governments to respond swiftly and decisively.
