Kavitha Drops Bombshell: Accuses BRS Leadership of Secret BJP Merger Plans

In a dramatic escalation of internal party conflict, BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has openly lashed out against her party leadership, particularly targeting her brother and senior party leader K. T. Rama Rao (KTR). She alleged a covert conspiracy to merge the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), revealing that such proposals were floated even while she was in jail. Kavitha claimed she personally intervened to block the merger plans. Voicing deep frustration, she declared she would not work under anyone in the party except her father, KCR (K. Chandrashekar Rao), and hinted at breaking away if sidelined further. “Where is the party forum they ask me to speak in?” she questioned, challenging her critics while accusing KTR of orchestrating smear campaigns against her.

Kavitha expressed dismay over how her private letter to KCR was leaked to the public, something that had never happened in 25 years. She criticized the leadership for failing to identify the leakers and instead launching targeted attacks against her. Drawing from her past, Kavitha recalled her sacrifices during the Telangana movement, even while pregnant, and stated she had taken on responsibilities that ideally belonged to the party leadership. She further disclosed that during earlier controversies, she offered to resign but was stopped by KCR. Despite her efforts, she said she continued to face paid attacks on social media, allegedly from within her own party. “They’re coming at me like Greek warriors instead of addressing real issues,” she remarked angrily.

Kavitha also pointed fingers at BRS MLAs for sabotaging her 2019 Lok Sabha campaign in Nizamabad, saying it was internal betrayal that led to her defeat. She added that KCR’s move to make her an MLC from the same district was merely to “maintain protocol.” Undeterred by political games, Kavitha reiterated her commitment to dignity and service through her cultural organization, Jagruthi, subtly suggesting that she might take an independent path. “I’m doing what the party should be doing,” she emphasized, fueling speculation that she may be preparing to launch a new political outfit if her concerns continue to be ignored.
