Hyderabad Traffic Police Warn of Delays as Roadwork Slows Masabtank–Lakdikapul Route

The Hyderabad Traffic Police issued an advisory on Saturday morning after road repair work near Mehdi Function Hall, close to Ayodhya Junction, began affecting vehicle movement in the central part of the city. The ongoing repair work has created a bottleneck on the stretch, which normally experiences steady traffic flow during peak hours. Officials noted that the reduced road width and continuous movement of construction vehicles are contributing to the slowdown.

Traffic has become particularly sluggish for commuters traveling from Masab Tank and Mahaveer Hospital towards Ayodhya, with vehicles moving at significantly slower speeds than usual. Motorists reported long queues forming near the junction, especially during morning hours, as vehicles struggled to navigate the narrowed lanes. Public transport buses and emergency vehicles were also forced to move cautiously through the repair zone.

Authorities have advised commuters to plan their travel with extra time in hand and consider alternate routes to avoid delays until the repair work is completed. The Traffic Police are monitoring congestion in the area and have deployed personnel to ease movement, especially during busy intervals. Officials also urged drivers to follow instructions at the site and cooperate with workers to ensure smooth and safe traffic flow.
