The Hyderabad Police have formally warned Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Thakur Raja Singh for repeatedly neglecting government-mandated security protocols, including the use of a bulletproof vehicle and assigned gunmen, during visits to high-risk and communally sensitive areas in the city. The Mangalhat Police issued the notice, stating that Raja Singh’s actions not only endanger his life but also pose a threat to public order in volatile localities. Authorities emphasized that compliance with these security arrangements is not optional, especially in light of recent threatening calls made against the MLA.
According to police reports, Raja Singh has been observed traveling without the (1+4) security personnel team and the specially allotted bulletproof vehicle, despite being on the radar of potential threats. The notice reiterated that the MLA had been venturing alone into communally sensitive zones such as Talabkatta, Bhavani Nagar, Engine Bowli, Baba Nagar, Bahadurpura, Santosh Nagar, Yakutpura, Golkonda, and Jirra. Law enforcement agencies have flagged these areas as sensitive and have advised heightened caution. The police noted that Raja Singh’s disregard for official security measures reflects a concerning level of negligence towards his own safety.
The warning comes at a time when the police are working to maintain communal harmony and security in Hyderabad ahead of key religious events. Officials reiterated their appeal to the MLA to strictly adhere to assigned safety protocols to prevent any untoward incident. This isn’t the first time Raja Singh has been cautioned, and the authorities hope he will take the warning seriously going forward. The Hyderabad Police remain committed to safeguarding public figures but insist that cooperation from those individuals is essential for effective implementation of law and order measures.
