The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has issued a show cause notice to veteran film producer Allu Aravind for allegedly carrying out unauthorized construction work at his commercial property, Allu Business Park, located at Road No. 45, Jubilee Hills. According to GHMC officials, while permission was granted for two cellars and a G+4 structure, an additional construction was added on the fourth floor without prior approval. The civic body has sought an explanation from Aravind on why the illegal structure should not be demolished.
The Allu Business Park was developed as part of a project launched in November 2023 to mark the 101st birth anniversary of legendary comedian and Padma Shri awardee Allu Ramalingaiah. Spread across 1,226 square yards, the business hub houses the offices of Geetha Arts, Allu Arts, and several other ventures associated with the Allu family. The GHMC inspection was conducted after reports surfaced about building violations, following which Circle-18 Deputy Municipal Commissioner Sammayya ordered an inquiry into the matter.
Based on the inspection, authorities confirmed deviations from the sanctioned plan and issued a formal notice to Aravind. The notice directs him to provide a response before the GHMC considers demolition of the unauthorized portion. This action has drawn public attention, given Allu Aravind’s stature in the Telugu film industry and his prominent business ventures. The case also highlights GHMC’s increasing scrutiny of illegal constructions across Hyderabad, particularly in upscale localities such as Jubilee Hills.
