Gaza Bleeds as Israeli Airstrikes Kill 115 Amid Trump’s Peace Mission

In one of the deadliest days in recent weeks, Israeli air strikes have killed at least 115 people across the Gaza Strip since midnight. Among the worst-hit areas was the southern city of Khan Younis, where 56 civilians—many of them displaced and sheltering in homes and tents—lost their lives in overnight bombings. The relentless attacks have further worsened the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, already grappling with food shortages and medical collapse.

In the northern town of Jabalia, 13 people were killed in targeted strikes, including devastating hits on a local health clinic and a prayer hall inside the Jabalia refugee camp. The strikes not only destroyed vital infrastructure but also shattered any sense of safety among residents. Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos, with people pulling bodies from the rubble and emergency workers overwhelmed by the scale of destruction.

These attacks coincided with US President Donald Trump’s high-profile visit to the region, where he has been pushing for a ceasefire and a hostage release deal between Israel and Hamas. Despite ongoing indirect negotiations, the escalating violence raises serious concerns about the sincerity and success of the peace efforts currently underway.
