Eid Celebrations in Uttar Pradesh Marked by Peaceful Prayers Amid Heavy Security and AI Surveillance

Eid-ul-Fitr prayers were observed peacefully across Uttar Pradesh on Monday, with major congregations at prominent mosques and Eidgahs in cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Aligarh, and Varanasi. The occasion saw heightened security measures, including the deployment of AI-powered drones for real-time surveillance, ensuring smooth proceedings. While festivities remained largely joyful, certain locations, like Aligarh, witnessed protests with some individuals wearing black armbands to voice opposition to the proposed Waqf Bill and alleged global excesses against Muslims. In sensitive areas, such as Kanpur and Amethi, heavy police presence and drone surveillance were employed to maintain law and order, ensuring no disturbances during the prayers.

The authorities took strict measures to avoid road prayers, encouraging worshippers to offer their prayers within designated mosque premises to prevent traffic disruptions. Leaders emphasized the importance of communal harmony, with figures from both Muslim and Hindu communities coming together to extend Eid greetings. In Rampur, a significant shift in the absence of political figures like Mohammad Azam Khan’s family was noted, but the call for unity and peace was echoed by local leaders. The peaceful observance of Eid across Uttar Pradesh demonstrated the state’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens, even in the face of challenges.

Despite some isolated protests, the overwhelming sentiment on Eid was one of togetherness, as people from various faiths embraced each other and celebrated the occasion. The presence of both political and administrative officials underscored the significance of the festival, with messages of unity and peace being spread across the state. As AI drones continued to monitor sensitive locations, authorities maintained strict surveillance to prevent any untoward incidents, ensuring that Eid celebrations concluded peacefully, fostering an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect.
