CBI Arrests Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Excise Policy Case Amid Legal Battles

New Delhi: In a significant development, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested by the CBI in connection with the excise policy case, adding to the legal challenges facing the AAP leader. The arrest was made following a court order after Kejriwal was brought before Special Judge Amitabh Rawat from Tihar Jail.

This development comes shortly after the Delhi High Court stayed Kejriwal’s bail in a related money laundering case linked to the excise policy scam, which the Enforcement Directorate has been investigating. The Supreme Court, on Wednesday, permitted Kejriwal to withdraw his plea challenging the High Court’s interim stay after regularizing the stay.

Reacting to the arrest, AAP posted on social media, “We will answer every atrocity of the dictator with revolution. Today, when the BJP sensed that Delhi’s own Arvind Kejriwal might receive bail from the Supreme Court, they orchestrated another conspiracy to arrest Chief Minister Kejriwal through CBI in a fabricated case. Every BJP conspiracy will be met with a resolute response; truth will prevail in the end.”

The situation continues to evolve, with ongoing legal battles shaping the political landscape in Delhi. For more updates, stay tuned to our website.
