BRS Candidate Maganti Sunitha to File Nomination for Jubilee Hills Bypoll on Wednesday

BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha, wife of late MLA Maganti Gopinath, will officially file her nomination for the Jubilee Hills by-election on Wednesday between 11 am and 1 pm. Following the issuance of the election notification, nominations are being accepted daily from 11 am to 3 pm. The bypoll is scheduled for November 11, and the ruling BRS is gearing up for an intense electoral battle to retain its stronghold.

Party sources revealed that the BRS leadership has decided to keep the nomination event simple, with only four representatives accompanying Sunitha during the filing. The decision reflects the party’s focus on strategic ground-level campaigning rather than grand public displays. The BRS is also planning a massive rally in Jubilee Hills on October 19, where senior leaders including KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao will lead campaign efforts in the constituency.

The BRS is counting on Sunitha’s candidacy to consolidate support and pay tribute to her late husband, Maganti Gopinath, who was well-regarded for his strong connection with local residents. The party has intensified its door-to-door outreach and ward-level meetings, highlighting welfare schemes introduced under the previous government while criticising the Congress administration for not fulfilling its promises. With just weeks remaining, the Jubilee Hills bypoll is shaping up to be a key political contest in Hyderabad.
