Blaze at Park Hyatt Hyderabad: No Harm to SRH Team as Fire Breaks Out in Hotel Spa

A sudden fire erupted at Park Hyatt Hotel located in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills on Monday morning, raising concerns as the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) team was staying there amid ongoing IPL 2025 matches. The incident occurred around 8:30 AM, reportedly due to a short circuit in the men’s section of a spa on the hotel’s first floor. Thick clouds of smoke billowed through the premises, triggering panic and immediate action from the hotel staff and emergency responders.

Fire tenders were rushed to the scene without delay, and firefighters promptly got the situation under control using fire extinguishers already available at the hotel. The flames were contained efficiently, preventing the blaze from spreading further into the building. The swift response ensured that the damage was minimal and largely restricted to the spa area. According to officials, no serious structural damage was reported.

Thankfully, the SRH players had already checked out of the hotel earlier that morning as per their schedule, and no casualties or injuries were reported. The team was seen boarding their bus calmly amidst the chaos. Hyderabad District Fire Officer T Venkanna confirmed that the situation was under control and reassured that the safety measures at the hotel played a crucial role in preventing a major disaster.
