Blast Targets School Bus in Balochistan: 4 Children Killed, 38 Injured

In a tragic incident that shook Pakistan’s Balochistan province on Wednesday morning, a school bus carrying young students was hit by a powerful blast near Zero Point in Khuzdar district. The explosion claimed the lives of at least four children and left 38 others injured, according to local media reports. The victims were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Khuzdar Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti confirmed the devastating details of the attack, stating that the bus was specifically targeted while en route, raising suspicions of a planned act of terror. The injured, many of them school-aged children, are currently under medical care, with some reported to be in critical condition. Rescue operations were swiftly launched to secure the area and assist the wounded.

Authorities have cordoned off the blast site and launched an investigation to identify those responsible. No group has claimed responsibility so far, but the region has long been plagued by insurgency and acts of violence. Political leaders and human rights organizations have condemned the attack, calling for stronger security measures to protect children and civilians from such heinous acts.
