Hyderabad: A major controversy has broken out in the Telangana BJP after Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh strongly criticized his own party’s leadership in a series of viral WhatsApp posts. Singh reacted angrily to the BJP high command’s decision to nominate N Gautam Rao for the upcoming MLC elections, accusing the leadership of ignoring loyal workers and favoring “chamchas” (yes-men). His open criticism has revealed serious internal tensions between party workers on the ground and senior leaders.
Raja Singh questioned why only a few leaders from select areas are being given tickets, while others who have worked hard for the party are being left out. “They are giving big posts to those who clean tables in offices,” he said, expressing frustration over favoritism in the party. He also claimed that the promotion of a rival Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yatra in Amberpet was a deliberate attempt to reduce participation in his own traditional yatra, which he organizes every year to promote Hindu unity.
Despite facing many legal cases, Singh stated that he isn’t afraid and will continue his fight. His bold statements have deepened the divide within the BJP in Telangana. Political experts believe such public fights can damage the party’s image and unity before important local elections. So far, the BJP has not given any official response to Raja Singh’s remarks, leaving room for more political drama in the coming days.
