Akhilesh Yadav Extends Full Support to RJD, Accuses BJP of Plotting Nitish Kumar’s Exit

In a significant political development ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has announced unwavering support to the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Speaking at the SP headquarters on Monday, Yadav expressed solidarity with RJD leaders Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, stating that the Samajwadi Party would join forces to expose the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) alleged scams in Uttar Pradesh. “We will fully support respected Lalu Prasad Yadav ji and Tejashwi ji in Bihar elections. The scams committed by the BJP in Uttar Pradesh will be revealed there, and the people will be told the truth,” he said.

Yadav did not mince words as he launched a direct attack on the BJP’s Bihar strategy, particularly regarding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He accused the BJP of manipulating Kumar’s image for electoral gain, while secretly planning to sideline him after the polls. “They are using Nitish Kumar ji’s name and face, but they won’t make him Chief Minister again,” Yadav said. “We once considered projecting him as a prime ministerial face, but now it’s clear — the BJP is preparing to retire him even from the post of CM.”

The statement comes at a time when political equations in Bihar are rapidly evolving. While the BJP has been projecting unity within the NDA, Yadav’s remarks signal a strong revival of the Mahagathbandhan alliance. With parties like SP and RJD joining hands, the Bihar election campaign is likely to witness fierce contests and high-voltage exchanges. Yadav’s critique of BJP’s alleged betrayal of its allies and exploitation of political figures for short-term gains has added a sharp edge to the opposition’s narrative, setting the stage for an intensely fought electoral battle.
