Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has called upon Google to actively support the state’s vision for empowering youth through skill development and employment generation. While inaugurating the tech giant’s first Google Safety Engineering Center (GSEC) in the Asia-Pacific region—located in Hyderabad—Revanth appealed to Google to become a brand ambassador for the “Telangana Rising” initiative. He underscored Hyderabad’s long-standing relationship with Google, tracing back to the days of united Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of former CM Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
Highlighting the city’s growing digital infrastructure, Revanth Reddy praised Google’s role in driving technological transformation and creating a secure digital ecosystem. The newly launched GSEC is set to become a hub for cybersecurity innovation, job creation, and tech skill development—especially for India’s emerging workforce. The CM noted Google’s ongoing collaborations with the Telangana government in areas like education, traffic management, healthcare, cybersecurity, and digital mapping, and said the Congress government’s innovation-focused governance resonates with Google’s mission.
Looking ahead, Revanth Reddy reaffirmed his government’s goal to make Telangana a 1 trillion-dollar economy by 2035. He also announced an ambitious social initiative: empowering one crore women to become millionaires through entrepreneurship and financial self-reliance. As part of this plan, 2.5 acres of land have been allocated near the Google campus in Hyderabad for women’s self-help stalls. Concluding his address, the Chief Minister congratulated Google for investing in Telangana’s future and expressed confidence that the collaboration would further elevate the state’s reputation as a tech-driven, inclusive economy.
