Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav met with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday in New Delhi to discuss the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar. The high-level meeting aimed at strengthening the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) and ensuring a united front against the ruling NDA. Sources said the discussions focused on seat-sharing, campaign coordination, and joint strategies to counter the BJP’s influence in the state.
Tejashwi was accompanied by RJD MPs Manoj Jha and Sanjay Yadav during the meeting, which was held at Kharge’s residence. The Congress side included general secretary (Organisation) K. C. Venugopal, Bihar Congress chief Rajesh Kumar, and AICC Bihar in-charge Krishna Allavaru. All leaders expressed a strong commitment to collaborative campaigning and reiterated the importance of unity among secular parties to defeat divisive politics.
Political observers view this meeting as a crucial step in solidifying the opposition’s presence in Bihar ahead of the polls. Both parties are aware of the challenges posed by vote division and are aiming to present a coherent alliance with a common minimum program. As the electoral race heats up, the Mahagathbandhan’s internal coordination and shared vision could play a decisive role in shaping Bihar’s political future.
