The gang, which executed the daring robbery at an SBI ATM in Bidar, fled to Hyderabad after using chili powder and firearms to overpower bank staff. The violent heist claimed the life of one employee, Giri Venkatesh, and left another, Shiva Kashinath, critically injured.
Hyderabad police, in coordination with their Bidar counterparts, launched a city-wide manhunt after the gang opened fire during a confrontation in Afzalgunj, causing widespread panic among residents. East Zone DCP Bala Swamy confirmed that the suspects remain at large, but multiple teams have been deployed to track them down. The gang reportedly fired six rounds at police in their attempt to escape, showcasing their dangerous intent.
