Hyderabad Water Tanker Services Disrupted Due to IVRS Technical Failure

A technical fault in the IVRS system of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board caused major disruption in water tanker bookings across Hyderabad on Thursday. Due to this issue, the customer care helpline (155313), which many residents depend on for booking water tankers, stopped working temporarily. As a result, several users faced delays and inconvenience while trying to access essential water supply services.

According to officials, the problem is linked to the IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System), and the technical team from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has been assigned to fix it on priority. The water board confirmed that efforts are underway to restore the service as soon as possible. Meanwhile, they acknowledged that the disruption has affected multiple customer-related services, not just tanker bookings.

Authorities have advised residents to avoid relying on the helpline for now and instead use alternative methods. Customers can book water tankers through the official website or mobile app by logging in and entering the required details. Until the system is fully restored, these digital options remain the only reliable way for people in the city to ensure uninterrupted water supply.
