A man posing as an officer of the Central Industrial Security Force was detained by security personnel at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad on April 14. The accused, identified as Balakrishna from Srikakulam, was spotted wearing a CISF uniform and taking photographs inside the airport premises, which immediately raised suspicion among officials. His behavior prompted security staff to question him, leading to the discovery that he was impersonating a CISF officer.
During interrogation, genuine CISF personnel confirmed that the individual had no affiliation with the force and had been falsely presenting himself as an officer. Authorities revealed that his actions were not limited to impersonation at the airport. He was allegedly using matrimonial platforms to approach women and deceive them by claiming to be a CISF official, particularly after his first marriage ended, in an attempt to remarry under false pretenses.
Officials have taken the accused into custody, and a detailed investigation is currently underway. Police stated that his mobile phone contains conversations with hundreds of women, which are now being examined as part of the probe. The case has raised concerns over misuse of uniforms and identity fraud, with authorities likely to pursue further legal action based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
