A private airline flight from Madurai to Chennai made a safe emergency landing on Saturday morning after the pilot detected a crack in the aircraft’s windshield mid-air. The flight, carrying 76 passengers, experienced the issue shortly before descent, prompting the pilot to alert the Air Traffic Control (ATC) at Chennai Airport. Authorities immediately activated safety protocols, ensuring that emergency arrangements were in place before the aircraft touched down. All passengers disembarked safely without any injuries, officials confirmed.
Following the landing, the aircraft was moved to Bay No. 95 for inspection and maintenance. Technicians began work to replace the damaged windshield, while an internal review was initiated to determine the cause of the crack.
