8 Youths Nabbed for Performing Risky Bike Stunts in Hyderabad’s Gaganpahad Area

In a troubling incident highlighting the rising trend of reckless road behavior in Hyderabad, eight young individuals were caught on camera performing extremely dangerous stunts on a single motorcycle near Gaganpahad, located on the outskirts of the city under Rajendranagar Traffic Police limits. The act, which included multiple persons riding and balancing dangerously on one bike, quickly went viral on social media, prompting authorities to take swift action. Preliminary investigations have revealed that some of those involved were minors, raising serious concerns about parental supervision and awareness of traffic laws. The incident has triggered public outrage, with citizens demanding stricter enforcement of road safety norms and accountability for guardians of underage riders.

This isn’t an isolated case. Hyderabad has seen a worrying spike in such stunt-related violations in recent months. Not long ago, two luxury cars were recorded performing illegal drifting and high-speed stunts on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Shamshabad. These cars, seen recklessly maneuvering on open roads, endangered the lives of not just the drivers but also other unsuspecting commuters. In another widely circulated video, a group of boys was seen pulling off bike stunts beneath the PVNR Expressway in Rajendranagar — one of them filmed by a friend while balancing dangerously on a speeding bike. These repeated occurrences point toward a disturbing trend of adrenaline-driven social media stunts, often executed without regard for public safety.

The Hyderabad traffic police have reiterated their commitment to cracking down on such illegal activities, especially as incidents of both bike and car stunts continue to increase. Authorities are using viral videos and surveillance footage to trace culprits, while also working with schools and community groups to raise awareness. Law enforcement officials stress that stunts like these not only put the lives of those performing them at risk but also jeopardize the safety of everyone on the road. They’ve also warned that minors found participating in such offenses will lead to legal consequences for their guardians. As urban roads turn into racetracks for thrill-seekers, citizens and officials alike are calling for stricter enforcement, technological monitoring, and community-based education to curb this growing menace.
